I have Windows 7 installed on the m.2 drive. When I setup RAID 0 on my mother board (Asus X99-pro/USB3.1), my Samsung m.2 drive disappears from the Boot Drive selection list, and computer won't boot. Right now, I have my os on the m.2 and a 4x250gb ssd raid 0 for games. Depending on your cpu, 5820 or either 5930 or 5960, and whether you have a soundcard, sli. If you check asus x99 deluxe details then you can see it is capable of using two. I'm thinking of adding another m.2 with the card on the pcie add on card. I use the m.2 slot to the right of the ram slots. I have the x99 deluxe and the m.2 adapter card. So, unless you already have an m.2 drive on that slot I would recommend not using the add-on card. However, the board already has a dedicated m.2 slot to the right of the ram. The card is for using an m.2 drive on the pcie slot.
